Scot Maust was nothing short of a lifesaver for our family. Our family
was one of so many that had their lives dramatically reshaped by Hurricane Ike. By
the end of the storm, Ike relocated two rather large trees on our family home,
rendering it unlivable and requiring close to $60K in repairs.
When our first contractor backed out on us after a four-month delay in starting
repairs, by grace Scot was referred to us. As any who have ever had to
deal with an insurance company after such an event, one can appreciate all of
the unknowns regarding if or how much you will be financially reimbursed. In
light of all this, Scot and his team were very patient in listening to how we
wanted to rebuild our home and once the money began to flow, they worked tirelessly
until the job was complete. Scot and team delivered a beautiful finished
product!
Incidentally, half way through our house reconstruction, we learned that we would
soon have a new addition to our family, which now required us to buy a larger
home. Due to the fantastic work Scot and his team did on our house repairs
we were able to sell our house for well above market value less than two months
of being on the market, whilst in the middle of the 2009 economic recession.
In addition, with the new home there was some necessary remodeling required before
we moved in, and while Scot had other customers to work with, he made us feel
like we were his number one priority and was purely focused on getting our family
back in a home before the baby arrived.
Most importantly to me was the fact that he would tell me the right way the repairs
should be done, not the cheapest way to do them and not just what I wanted to
hear. He took time to listen to our wants and concerns, making us feel
more like friends than customers.
Now that life has settled down for our family, there are additional remodeling
tasks needed on our new home and I will be asking for Scot and company to perform

job you did on rebuilding my patio and creating an unbelievable
outdoor kitchen. My wife and I have owned eight homes during
the last twenty years and all of them have either been complete
remodels or new construction.
In all of our construction experience,
there has only been one other contractor that has even come close
to your professionalism and quality. Not only did you finish
the job on time and within budget, you did so before some of
the other people I contacted for bids had sent them to us.
You are
one of the few contractors who have mastered the "art of delegation." As
an international business strategy consultant I see so many CEO's
and COO's who still get in the way of letting their people work.
It's apparent that you have also mastered the art of training and
motivation because during the two weeks of construction, your
guys showed up at 8:00AM and worked until dark. They even swept
up after each day's work and were extremely courteous and polite.
When they asked us if we minded if they worked on Saturday,
we were flabbergasted!

project on the front door and window section early next February.

makeover included all new roofing, siding, windows, doors, insulation,
patios in both the front an back. This is not to mention all
the brand new concrete work for the patios as well as the driveway

2 and a half times the size it was. I never could have conceptualized
the new layout on my own. Thanks to you guys, I have a modern

to be given the name of Scot Maust. I initially needed fences
re-built. Then, as my remodeling needs grew, I had my living

I have used Align Construction for the
past years to do numerous jobs...replace rotten wood, build a
patio with cover, build a deck, and hang a storm door that would
